Founder – CEO
For 20 years, Chris has been active in the development, engineering, financing and operational management of renewable energy projects (onshore wind, biomass to energy, solar PV, energy storage, waste to energy). His international experience in business and project development, project management and general management is extensive, including examples in India, Singapore, France, Portugal, Italy, Poland, The Czech Republic… He has a proven track record in start-ups and fast-growing companies in the renewable energy sector including Eneco, Enfinity, Parkwind, KeppelSeghers, Waterleau. Chris is co-founder of Tiger Power and focusses on Business Development, Strategy and Innovation.
Founder – CTO
Jessica has 20 years of multidisciplinary experience in engineering, product development and project management for companies such as Barlo Plastics, Recticel, Samsonite, KeppelSeghers and Stabila. She has hands-on experience in project and production environments in Poland, Singapore, Czech Republic, Germany, etc. Jessica is co-founder of Tiger Power and today drives Product Development and Innovation within Tiger Power.
For 25 years, Dries has been professionally active in the service sector, both as a manager and as an entrepreneur. After having served as CEO of Associated Weavers, he co-founded Origis Energy in 2008 which then became an international developer, financier and administrator of large-scale solar power projects. Today, Dries sits on the board of various companies in the renewable energy sector (solar and wind). Within Tiger Power, he focusses on financial matters.
Mechanical Design Engineer
Valter graduated as Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at ISEC in Coimbra (Portugal). Through his professional career of 8 years, he gather experience in the mechanical design of equipment for the energy, environment and automobile sectors. Valter joined in October 2018 and is responsible for the mechanical design of Tiger Power’s equipment.
Kinga graduated as Bachelor of Psychology in Management at WSB In Poznan (Poland). After her graduation she moved to Belgium, where she collected several years of working experience as an office executive at an international company. With the end of 2017, Kinga joined the team of Tiger Power where she will be responsible for overall administration and management assistance.
Cis graduated as Master of Sciences, Industrial Sciences, Electrical Engineering at the University of Ghent, Belgium. Upon completing his Masters he worked as a researcher at Lemcko, the electrotechnical research centre of the University of Ghent. Over 3 years he was actively involved in several research projects related to decentralised storage, Power-to-Gas and mini-grids. He is co-author of the book “Laagspanningsinstallaties: technologie en ontwerp” (ISBN: 978-90-8154-983-7) and lectured in Power Quality and Low-Voltage technologies. Today, Cis is responsible for the electrical design of Tiger Power’s scalable mini-grid systems.
Business Development Manager East Africa
Jonathan is passionate about contributing to a growing economy while reducing emissions. With every PowerCamp Tiger Power installs new households prosper and businesses grow. Without emitting hazardous greenhouse gases. Jonathan joined our team after working for Bond Beter Leefmilieu, the United Nations Climate Secretariat, and studying Climate Change Policy. He is supported with a grant from the Prince Albert Funds and will develop business in East Africa.

Embedded Software Engineer
Maarten graduated as Master in Electronics design at Groep-T in Leuven. His career started as a designer of complex digital electronics in the Avionics industry. He gradually moved to the software domain encompassing low level drivers up to embedded system architecture design. Maarten brings 13 years of experience in embedded systems and high reliability design to the sustainable energy products of Tiger Power. He is responsible for the embedded controllers in Tiger Power’s solutions.
Business Development Manager Southern Africa
Roger qualified as a Paper Technologist and worked in that industry for a period of 25 years. during this time, he was able to hone a broad range of skills, having been exposed to a range of business facets from Production, Engineering, Marketing and Sales to General Management. In 2007, he decided to embark on a new path, enabling him to develop his entrepreneurial skills. He was part of a domestic, solar water heating start up and was involved in various activities, including logistics, sales and project management. An opportunity to work in Ethiopia for a period of 2 years from 2015 to 2017 proved to be the catalyst for his ultimate passion: being able to positively impact the blue planet, one energy poor community at a time. Having an holistic approach to all endeavours, has become something of a mantra, with impact on social, economic and environmental aspects always top of mind. On his return to South Africa in mid 2017, he investigated various opportunities to further satisfy his desire to make a difference, and believes that he has found that in Tiger Power.
Business Development Liaison
Vincent graduated from Delft University of Technology as a Mechanical Engineer specialized in Energy Technology. He worked as Project and Sales engineer in the upstream oil & gas equipment manufacturing. After 2 years he went back to Delft University of Technology to pursue a PhD on integrated transport & energy systems based on renewable hydrogen. There he specialized in microgrids with Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV). The PhD made him passionate about the unlimited potential of renewables and battery & hydrogen fuel cell technology. He moved to Southern Africa to get clean & reliable energy for communities, business and replace fossil fuel consumption with Tigerpower systems!
International Project Manager
Nick has an Honours Degree in Environmental Engineering from The University of Nottingham, England, where he studied in the School of Chemical and Civil Engineering.
Having grown up in Kenya, Nick was drawn back to Kenya where he found himself in the construction sector.
His practical and ambitious nature earned him a Project Management role in the Oil & Gas sector, building and renovating Crude Refineries, Fuel Storage Depots and Pipelines. As his Project Management experience grew over the next 11 years he took on larger roles across different sectors in East African Infrastructure. Here he has worked for top African and International firms like Civicon Africa Group Limited and Al Naboodah Construction Group on large Civil Road & Bridge contracts as well as Thermal, Geothermal and Hydro Electric power projects.
His International Project Management experience, underlying passion for Green and Sustainable Energy Development in Developing Countries makes Nick the perfect person to implement Tiger Power’s Projects.
Alexander De Waele
Alexander graduated as a Master in applied engineering, Electromechanics at the University of Gent, Campus Kortrijk. He joined Tiger Power at the beginning of 2019. He brings on board 13 years of experience in engineering, service & maintenance from various multinationals (Daiking Europe, Wienerberger, Ursa …) in Belgium and abroad. As operations manager in Tiger Power Alexander is responsible for procurement, logistics, assembly, delivery & commissioning of our products.
